Chassis
The chassis used is a Hammond 16 x 8 x 2 and it is made from .051" aluminum. The layout was drawn on cad at a 1:1 scale.
Layout was tested for fit. Once the layout was correct I center punched and drilled all holes to their appropriate size.
Faceplate made by BNP Lasers with pre-drilled 3/32" pilot holes. Made out of black anodized aluminum with silver lettering.
In order for the faceplate and chassis holes to align properly, I drilled pilot holes into the chassis by using the pre-drilled faceplate as a drilling template. Then the faceplate and chassis were drilled separately.
Close up of transferred pilot holes.
